Caritas stands with the Landslide Affected People at Rangamati Hill District

Caritas Bangladesh distributed relief goods among the 700 landslide affected families at Ghagra Union under the Kaowkhali Upazila of Rangamati District. 22 types of Non Food Items (NFI) like utensils, clothing, water carrying and storing jar and hygiene kits were included among those. Caritas Bangladesh also took steps for cleaning of 19 evacuation centers along with the Bangladesh Army at Rangamati area where approximately 2500 affected people had taken shelter. Mrs. Sumoni Akhter, Kaowkahli Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Mr. Jagodish Chakma, Chairman, Ghagra Union Parishad, Mr. Khaichabayi Talukdar, Chairman, Betbunia Union, Mr. Dhan Kumar Chakma, Chairman, Fatickchari Union Parishad & Mr. James Gomes, Regional Director, Caritas Chittagong Region were present during the distribution of NFI at Ghagra Betbunia Union.
