The New Executive Director of Caritas Bangladesh Pays a Courtesy Call on the Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau, Prime Minister’s Office
Mr. Sebastian Rozario, the newly appointed Executive Director and Mr. James Gomes, Director (Programs) of Caritas Bangladesh paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau, Mr. K.M Tariqul Islam on 27 June 2021 at the NGO Affairs Bureau, Prime Minister’s Office, Agargaon, Dhaka. Mr. Tapan Kumar Biswas Director (Project-1) of NGO Affairs Bureau and Myentthein Promila, Administrative Officer (Liaison) of Caritas were also present in the meeting. They greeted the Director General by presenting a flower bouquet.
Mr. Sebastian Rozario expressed thanks and gratitude to the NGO Affairs Bureau for the wonderful cooperation and supports extended to Caritas. He also expressed thanks to the Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau for nominating the ED of Caritas Bangladesh for the Capstone Course of National Defense College which aims to enable higher level leadership / elites of various strata / segments of the society to have common understanding of major challenges to national security and development of Bangladesh.
Mr. James Gomes, Director (Programs) informed the Director General of the NGOAB that Caritas with the approval of the NGOAB works all over Bangladesh and he also expressed his hope for continued support from NGOAB in future.
The Director General, NGO Affairs Bureau Mr. K.M. Tariqul Islam expressed his positive impression about the work of Caritas Bangladesh. He recognizes Caritas Bangladesh’s role in the development of poor and marginalized communities since 1971. Mr. Tapan Kumar Biswas, Director, NGO Affairs Bureau also appreciated the work of Caritas Bangladesh. He also stated that Caritas is one of the largest NGOs working in Bangladesh.
Caritas Executive Director also met Mr. Sirajul Islam Khan, Assignment Officer during this visit.
