Observance of Caritas Sunday 2019

As part of Caritas Teg-O-Sheba-Abhijan/Lenten Campaign program this year Caritas Central Office and CDI observed Caritas Sunday 2019 on 31 March with the theme “Let us care for nature and brothers & sisters in need”. Most Rev. Theotonius Gomes, CSC, Emeritus Bishop of Dhaka Archdiocese blessed the program as Chief Guest.

The program included sharing on the theme from different religious perspective. The Speakers were Rev. Fr. Eugene J. Anjus CSC, Secretary, Episcopal Commission for Liturgy and Prayer & Assistant Parish Priest, Holy Cross Church, Luxmibazar; Md. Taijul Islam, Imam, Shantinagar SB Office CID Jamme Masjid; Swami Mridul Moharaj, Ram Krishna Mission; and Srimath Kalyan Jyoti Thero, Dharmarajik, Boudhya Maha Bihar.

With an aim to involve the children and adolescents with Caritas Teg-O-Sheba-Abhijan, this year Drawing and Essay Writing Competition was introduced for the first time on the campaign theme. Prizes and certificates were distributed among the participants of central level.

Besides, Long Service Award Certificates were distributed among 19 (total 233 across the country) staff members for their dedicated services in CB. The program ended followed by Holy Mass.
