Food Security Project (FSP) organized World Environment Day 2017 at 3 Hill Districts

Food Security Project (FSP) under Caritas Chittagong Region observed World Environment Day on 5 June, 2017 with the theme “Connecting People to nature”. The project was organized the programs at Bandarban Sadar, Lama, Alikadam, Thanchi upazila of Bandarban district, Rajsthali upazila of Rangamati district and Manikchari upazila of Khagrachari district. The programs were organized jointly with district and Upazila administration, forest and agriculture departments along with local NGOs. Discussion session and rally was the main events of the program.    

 

In Bandarban sadar, the joint program was observed chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kumar Banik and honorable Chairman, Bandarban Hill District Council Mr. Kyaw swe Hla Marma was present as chief guest. Other officers of district administration and Caritas FSP project and different NOGs representatives were present to the program. A total of 15,00 participants attended to the program. All are delivered speech on important to build more green, clean and healthy everywhere in the hill tracts.

 

At upazila level events were held at same date at 5 different places jointly with upazila administration and other  NGOs. At Lama upazila the program was held chaired by Assistant commissioner land Md. Sayed Iqbal and Upazila chairman Mr. Thwainu Aong Marma as chief. At Alikadam upazila the program was held chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Nairuzzaman and chief guest was Upazila Chairman Md. Abul Kalam. At Thanchi Upazila the program was held chaired by forest range Officer Moklesur Rahman and Upazila vice chairman Miss Bokuli Marma as chief guest. At Rajashthali upazila the program was held chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mr Jaton Marma and the chief guest was Upazila Chairman Uthingching marma.
